My name is Nabila Torres and I was born on October 14, 1990. I am currently 21 years of age and a senior at Florida International Univeristy. I am graduating with my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in May 2012. I graduated John A. Ferguson Senior High school in June of 2009 and quickly started the summer program at FIU. I was a full-time student for those 2 years and graduating a year early from college due to it. I was born in La Habana, Cuba and came to the United States when I was 4 years old. English was easy and simple to learn due to my young age and I have always loved school since then. I am a straight A student and always reach for that "A." I always say why settle when you can succeed.I have made the deans list 4 times and I am the top 15% of my FIU class. My current GPA is 3.5 and my goal is to graduate with a 3.7. I am definitely an over achiever when it comes to school. I am very grateful for the opportunities that I have had in this country all thanks to my parents decision of moving to America and giving my brother and I a better life.
